At the ceremony held in the Maritime and History
Museum of the Croatian Littoral in Rijeka, Mr Denis Vukorepa, Chairman of the
Port of Rijeka j.s.c. and Mr Manuel Armando Fernandez, Senior Vice President of
the International Container Terminal Services Inc., signed a contract on
strategic partnership and proprietary integration in the company Jadranska
vrata d.d. – Adriatic Gate j.s.c.
The contract defines investments into the Brajdica Container
Terminal that significantly exceeds the investment plan of 54 million euros
from the Concession Contract. The main investment includes the implementation
of cutting-edge technology, which will facilitate a complete automation for
ship unloading monitoring, as well as for the storing and dispatching of
containers. According to best world practice, ICTSI shall provide their
international know-how and experience in order to raise the operational
standard of the Container Terminal in the Port of Rijeka.

importance, we expect the container turnover to increase, to open new markets
of Central and Southeastern Europe, as well as
a huge step forward in logistics. We paved the way for investments and defined a
partner with whom we can start as soon as tomorrow the capital projects at the Brajdica
Container Terminal. We have chosen our partner transparently and carefully and I
am convinced that we have completed successfully project no. 1 in the port
system of the Republic
of Croatia."
